Has been coaching swimming for 15 years, is
a certified level 2 coach by the American Swim Coaches Association.Was
IHSA State Champ at Evanston (Ill) Township, played water polo at University
of Illinois. Assists with the Payton Grizzlies Co-Op girls' and boys'
swim teams and water polo. 20 year member of Chicago Fire Department.

Eric Nyholm is entering his 9th year coaching . Erik was
City Champ and an IHSA
state qualifier for Lane Tech. Eric has 2 sons on the team, Noah and Stefan.

Tiffany and her brother and
sisters are all Iguana and Lane Tech alumni. Tiffany has coached swimming,
diving and polo and is an IHSA water polo and USA Polo referee. She holds a
degree in exercise physiology and sports mgmt. from UIC.
JIM CORTEZ
Senior swimmers- Truman
Jim has been coaching for 13 years. He graduated
Gordon Tech and Northeastern Ill U. and has 2 daughters on the team, Allison
and Rachel. Coach Cortez was named the Chicago Public League Coach of
the Year 2007 for his work as Head Coach of the Payton Grizzlies.

Annette has been
volunteering with age group swimmers for 13 years, her daughters Stephanie,
Rae and Allison all swam (swim) with the club.
CHERIANNE BARRY Senior and age

Cherianne is the Head Water
Polo Coach for the Payton Grizzlies, has been teaching 3rd grade in the
Chicago Public Schools for 7 years. She swam at Marion Catholic and played
water polo at U. of Illinois. Cheri has been coaching for 5 years.

John has been teaching and
coaching swimming for over 30 years including Jane Addams Ctr., New City Y,
and Chicago South Swim Club. John also instructs at Lakeshore Athletic Club
and McCormick Boys and Girls club.
KARLA HUFFMAN Age group

Karla swam at New City Y,
St. Scholastica and Western Ill. U. Coached age group in San Francisco and at
Leaning Tower Y- is working on her masters at UIC and is a senior lab
technician at Great lakes Naval base.
MONIKA SUTO and BELA SZABADOS
Technique and training advisors
The Szabados are first year
swim parents (their son Bence is 8 and U member) but offer a wealth of
swimming experience as former Hungarian National Team members. Bela swam in 3
Olympic Games (92, 96, 00) and was a world short course champ (200 Free).
ALLYSON KOPPELMAN
Allyson is our 8 and Under Coach at St. Pats. She is
the Aquatics Director at Loyola University and hails from the Minnesota
countryside.
LAUREN TAYLOR
Lauren is helping develop the lesson program at
McCormick Boys and Girls Clubs and will be assisting us with east side
practices in all age groups. She swam at Kishwaukee Y, DeKalb and is a
philosophy student at DePaul University.
PETER LAU
Pete is an IIT student and swam for the Iguanas and
Payton-Jones Grizzlies where he was captain and City Champ in 2009.
