Brian Russell Scholar Athlete Swim Scholarships

Made possible by the Chicago Blue Dolphins Masters team, administered by Friends of Chicago Youth Swimming.

The scholarship is named for Pilgrim Lutheran School student and Iguanas swim clinic participant Brian Russell who passed away March 2008. Brian's great attitude and sense of humor despite serious medical problems were an inspiration to all.

Awards of $200 and up can be applied to summer swim camps, training trips,  secondary or collegiate tuition or fees for competitive swimmers. The amount of award will be based on the number of requests.

All requests for summer scholarship should be received by April 1st and will be awarded by April 10th.

Applicants must have financial need and carry a B average or equivalent in their coursework. They should have consistent and dedicated participation in training and competition over the swim season prior to applying for the award.
