Our club is a USA
Swimming year round competitive swim team and youth triathlon
club offering high quality professional coaching and technique
instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to
provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and
achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to
international competitor.
Members are
encouraged to develop sportsmanship in addition to
their swimming skills. Member families work collectively as a team
with emphasis on creating good swimmers and good people outside the
pool. Iguanas practice between 2 and 12 hours per week depending on
age, experience and goals.
Coaches are certified
by USA Swimming and the American Swim Coaches Association. The
staff is actively supported with educational efforts in order
to bring the best coaching and teaching practices to our
participants.
The
Iguanas Swim Club is supported by the not-for-profit
Friends of Chicago Youth Swimming which through
fundraising has provided over $6000 in scholarships and discounts
to member families.
We are constantly
growing and training young swimmers to maintain a well rounded
competitive swim team. Thank you for joining us. We are looking
forward to meeting you. Please feel free to ask
another member or coach any question you may
have.
